Zaostrog is a little idyllic, tourist resort on the
Makarska Rriviera, located between Makarska (30 km) and
Dubrovnik (110 km) in the bottom of a glorious mountain
Biokovo. For hinking and sports walks as and ideal
choices there are, tamed Plana on one hand, and somewhat
steeper Viter on the other. Field trips to the beautiful
islands of Hvar, Korcula and peninsula Peljesac are
possible from Drvenik, small place that is 2 km away
from Zaostrog. Around 10 km away from Zaostrog, there
are Bacina lakes, that with its beauty attract a lot of
tourists, and also provide you sports fishing.
